Connecting with Others

Where is Capitol Hill? Here is a map we have put together discussing the borders. But Capitol Hill is more of a state of mind.

What is the Capitol Hill Community Council?

The Capitol Hill Community Council is an all volunteer group that promotes bringing the community together.

Is the Capitol Hill Community Council part of the city?

No. The CHCC is an independent group.

Where is Capitol Hill?

The boundaries of any area are hard to define.  Generally we treat Capitol Hill as bounded by:

  • Madison to the south between Broadway and 23rd – South of which is Seattle University and Squire Park
  • Union from I-5 to Broadway on the south, beyond which is First Hill
  • I-5 to the west, beyond which is South Lake Union, Eastlake and Downtown
  • 520 and Interlaken to the North, beyond which is Roanoke Park and Montlake
  • 23rd/24th to the East beyond which is Madison Valley

You don’t have to live within those boundaries to participate, but that is our focus area.

What does the Capitol Hill Community Council do?

The Capitol Hill Community Council is just starting back up. The previous group stopped meeting in 2019.  Our first meeting was September 2024.  Right now we are working on connecting the community and working toward social happy hours, park cleanups, and engagement.

When does the Capitol Hill Community Council meet?

Usually we meet 4th Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm at Seattle Central College.
