The Capitol Hill Community Council is launching a Capitol Hill Appreciates Program. The plan is to have monthly ways to say thanks to the various elements of society that make Capitol Hill (and the broader world) the great place that it is today.
Our first appreciation group is the Seattle Fire Department. International Firefighter Appreciation Day is May 4th. The Capitol Hill Community Council has partnered with local businesses to have cards available for you to sign. Just drop into a participating location and ask for Capitol Hill Appreciates Program card. These cards will be dropped off at local fire stations in and around Capitol Hill.
The Capitol Hill Community Council has found participating locations around Capitol Hill so you are never more than a 15 minute walk to a participating location. Hours vary by location.
Participating Locations:
- Copper Tree Coffee House – 2406 10th Ave E
- Spark&Thread – 1909 E Aloha St.
- Coldwell Banker Bain – Capitol Hill – 1400 E Pike St
- Capitol Hill Tool Library – 1552 Crawford Pl
You have until May 1st to get the cards signed.
Cards will also be available to sign at the CHCC’s First Thursday Happy Hour May 1st at Gemini Room 5pm-7pm (RSVP and Info)
The Capitol Hill Community Council would thank the participating businesses. We also understand the short notice. This is a new endeavor from a newly re-formed group.
