Election Day for the Capitol Hill Community Council will take place on May 28th, 2025.
Electronic ballots will be open from Wednesday May 21st through 7:30PM May 28th, 2025 culminating in an election day party to take place at Central Seattle Community College. There will be 1 hour of in-person voting at the election day party for those who would prefer voting that way. Find out more about voting on the voting FAQ page.
The community will vote for 7 members to make up the council. The top 4 candidates, as determined by rank choice voting, will serve a full 2 year term, the next 3 vote getters will serve for 1 year, thus setting up a stagger for annual elections of 2 year terms going forward, promoting continuity for the council.
To run for the Capitol Hill Community Council a candidate must be registered to vote in the council election, must be at least 16 years of age as of May 28th, 2025, and may not hold any active elected public office positions.
